I don’t care how much your wife/girlfriend/fiancee/etc. hates your motorcycle. I don’t care that you need to sell it to keep her happy. I especially don’t need to read a paragraph of you detailing the degree to which she hates the bike and is demanding for you to get rid of it.
The fact you got in a relationship with someone who hates your hobbies/interests is irrelevant to me. I just want to buy a motorcycle. But I won’t be buying yours, because I can’t be bothered to wade through all of the relationship BS you slathered all over your ad.

I feel like there is another very good reason not to put it in there... It’s hard to negotiate if you already sound desperate.
Similarly, I don’t get the people that say they’re moving and need it gone...

These are often the people who are least likely to negotiate as well since they don’t really want to sell.

This is bro code for = Listen this woman is making me list this bike, please don’t call because I don’t want to sell it, I’m only doing this to shut her up.
People use to just put unreasonable asking prices, but women have since caught on.

My mom wanted to sell her classic Bonneville, and asked me to put it on CL. I fought with her over it, and eventually won, but I did post it on there, and showed her the ad. What I didn’t do was tell her that I had multiple people flag the listing on there so it would get removed. She would keep checking the listing and it would keep getting removed, and she didn’t understand why. Eventually, myself, my fiancee, and my stepdad talked her into keeping it.
I mean, after all, it is going to be the car I use for my wedding next year, and if it gets neglected, then I am absolutely going to lay claim to it.
So, yeah, someone selling something they don’t want to sell? Get it flagged for removal.
